The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program is uniquely designed to train outstanding future physicians. Situated at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, overlooking the Timpanogos Golf Club and Utah Lake, students will earn their degree while experiencing everything that Utah County has to offer. Just 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City and half an hour from Sundance Mountain Resort, our innovative, state-of-the-art campus allows our students to be at the center of their own educational experience.

The Noorda-COM campus is nestled between the 95,000-acre Utah Lake and the mountains of the Wasatch Front and is just minutes from downtown Provo. Our campus offers a unique setting, with mature trees, large manicured green spaces, water features, walking paths, and incredible mountain views. Current facilities include ample educational and study space spread across three campus buildings with additional facilities planned in the not-too distant future. Research and simulation are accomplished in collaborative labs in conjunctions with Brigham Young University (BYU), Utah Valley University (UVU), and Utah Valley Hospital.

Student residence options:
A new apartment complex is under development and will be located adjacent to the Noorda-COM campus. The plans for the complex include childcare, entertainment, and dining options. The Provo-Orem metropolitan area also boasts apartments, townhomes, and houses for rent or purchase within a 15-minute drive to campus, many of which are accessible by public transportation. The Noorda-COM campus is conveniently located near many restaurants, shopping centers, and indoor/outdoor recreational opportunities.

Our curriculum diverges significantly from traditional medical education. Our blended curricular model pioneers the integration of technology and directed personal guidance, putting students at the center of their medical education experiences. No scheduled classes. No large classroom lectures. The heart of our curriculum is faculty pre-recorded, short video segments covering defined learning objectives. Students engage with core content in small groups of about 3-8 people in on-campus learning pods and collaboratively accomplish required assignments. Groups schedule their own learning times, giving the students a great degree of flexibility.

Hands-on skills are a crucial competency for successful physicians. Students will have ample opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams to simulate real healthcare delivery experiences. Discipline-specific clinical experiences are designed in collaboration with local and regional hospitals and clinics, utilizing similar asynchronous, learning objective-driven content.

Pre- and post-rotation instruction for core third-year rotations blend holographic, animated, and live patients with augmented or virtual reality and hands-on task trainers. Proficiencies essential to be a meaningful contributor to the healthcare team are emphasized. The goal and objective of our curricular model are to provide students every tool possible to be a successful clinician, maximizing their professional opportunities.

Admissions Process

Noorda-COM is seeking to recruit students from around the country who fulfill the mission, vision, and values of our organization. Students who display academic excellence, leadership qualities, and the inherent desire to help others are encouraged to apply. Our admissions team will be providing a holistic review of each applicant, taking into account all academic and extracurricular experiences. In addition, selected applicants will be invited to complete a secondary application via a short video, allowing the Admissions Committee to get to know the applicant better. Finally, a select group of students will be invited to complete interviews with the faculty and staff at Noorda-COM. Students will be notified of final decisions via email. Throughout the admissions process, the Noorda-COM Admissions team will be available to provide guidance and answer applicant questions.
